Fred says in VIM#11 of Clayton Bailey's (www.claytonbailey.com) mini-Morsing: "I have first-hand experience with only his mini-morsing model. This is a minature version of the Smith-Bilyeu-Whitlow design, with frame of 1/8-inch square-cross-section steel rod, and a tongue of clock spring. The tongue extends beyond the frame, morsing-style, very useful as a thumb rest with so small an instrument (the frames are in the vicinity of 5cm. in length). The tongue is attached , contrary to tradition, to the underside of the frame. These are surprisingly stron-sounding little trumps, with overtones extending to the top of the usual range. They are not available in particular pitches yet. Mini-morsings and a Jewsaphome may be ordered through Clayton's website." - Hope that helps - Mark
