Nice to see a picture of the venue it brought back some great memories. Yes a pity we didn't meet up there. I only just met Shannon at the very end of the congress and he had been staying in the same campsite as Morten, Ralph and me. I think we should all make it a point to get together at the next big festival as it would be good to put faces to all these names we have been in contact with through this discussion group. Did you buy any new instruments while you were there? I bought one of those shiny new Indian morsings and a set of Shlutter harps and a double tongue Hmong harp, a very sweet sounding Nepalese harp and a very small but great sounding harp made by Steven Stoop. I was disappointed not to be able to go on one of his classes on making a jews harp and saw him later on at the festival and said so to him to which he said that 2 of the people that had booked didn't turn up anyway. A shame they couldn't make more spaces available as that was one of the things i was particularly keen to have a go at. Had a great time though and will definitely go to the next festival. By the way has anyone hed a look at the Youtube website i hope it isn't going against the policy of this site to mention another site but i thought you might like to know that there are some very good clips of jews harp players there. Some of the people that were at the Amsterdam festival are on there and it looks like some of the Russian festival performers are on show too. Well worth having a look. All the best. Steve.
