Where did you get your Sicilian harp from? If it's anything like the one i bought on E Bay last year then it's not that you will have damage to your teeth but it will be more of a frustration trying to get a decent sound from it. There seem to be lots of them for sale there now and it would appear that the majority of them are made for the tourist trade and do not have any special quality. If that is the only jews harp you've got then don't be put off playing it, just try out some others as well and see how they compare, there's so many types and each one has it's own distinctive voice and some you will like better than others. I've been playing jews harps for more than 30 years and don't have any teeth damage from it, i think the vibrations actually help to strengthen the teeth and if one day i do lose the use of my teeth then i will play hmong harps instead, just can't stop twanging.
