I prefer bronze for the frame for several reasons. 1- Taste, steel and especially iron taste terrible. 2- The stiffness of bronze at low stress levels is less than steel. 3- No rust and the looks improve with age. 4- Esoterically more appealing. 5- Not so hard on the teeth. For the reed Spring Stainless or blue tempered steel.
